    We’re seeking a methodical and experienced Client Accountant to join a growing finance team based in Central London. This full-time, permanent role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm) offers hybrid working and the chance to work across a diverse property portfolio.

    As a Client Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing a wide range of day-to-day accounting tasks—from overseeing rent and deposit ledgers to reconciling service charge accounts and assisting with budgeting and reporting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of multiple managed assets. It’s ideal for someone with a sharp eye for numbers and a proactive, hands-on approach to process improvement.

    Your Day-to-Day as a Client Accountant
    ✔ Manage and maintain multiple client bank accounts including rent, service charge, deposit, and capital expenditure.
    ✔ Post and reconcile incoming payments including rent, interest, deposits, and ad-hoc income
    ✔ Prepare and issue bank refunds and ensure all ledgers reflect accurate transactions
    ✔ Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for internal and client reporting
    ✔ Handle monthly rent sweeps and deposit reconciliations to align platforms with accounts
    ✔ Assist in the setup of new tenant accounts, including charges and lease apportionments
    ✔ Review and approve supplier invoices, ensuring alignment with budgets and cost codes
    ✔ Support quarterly service charge invoicing, funding requests, and year-end adjustments
    ✔ Reconcile and close off year-end service charge accounts and post audit adjustments
    ✔ Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting across residential and commercial portfolios
    ✔ Prepare variance analyses (BVA), highlight discrepancies, and flag any missing invoices
    ✔ Recommend accruals and prepayments with clear rationale for review
    ✔ Support investor and internal reporting to strict month-end and quarter-end deadlines
    ✔ Help respond to audit queries, reconcile ledgers, and assist with ad hoc finance support
    ✔ Work with the wider property and asset management team to maintain compliance and accuracy

    What We’re Looking For

    To thrive as a Client Accountant, you’ll ideally bring:
