    What You’ll Be Doing as a Client Accounting Team Lead
    • Guide and mentor your team through regular coaching and reviews.
    • Oversee the fiscal setup of new sites, ensuring opening funds are synced and accurate.
    • Fix workflow delays to keep the integration of new business on track.
    • Update various departments and external stakeholders on the status of fund transfers.
    • Audit complex spreadsheets and handle escalated service charge disputes.
    • Refine internal systems alongside management to boost team output.
     
    What We’re Looking For
    • Deep knowledge of service charge & client accounting within property management.
    • Prior success managing people and balancing priorities.
    • Five+ years in accounting; ideally part-qualified or highly experienced.
    • Strong grasp of Qube and advanced Excel tools (Qube is desirable but not essential)
    • Clear communication skills to act as a primary Client Accounting Team Lead.

    What You’ll Be Doing as a Block Manager
    Your core duties as the Block Manager will include:

    • Arranging and managing all necessary repairs, maintenance, and major project works (including managing contractors and complying with consultation laws).
    • Ensuring all blocks meet current Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation through regular site inspections and risk management.
    • Serving as the main contact for leaseholders and Freeholders/RMC Directors, handling all queries, and chairing necessary meetings.
     
    What We’re Looking For
    To be successful in this Block Manager role, you will need:
    • Proven, recent experience working as a Block Manager or Property Manager within a residential leasehold setting.
    • Good working knowledge of UK residential property law, especially relating to service charges and major works (Section 20).
    • A relevant industry qualification (e.g., IRPM or RICS) is highly preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing professionally with residents and clients.
    • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly across the Oxford, Norwich, and Cambridge patch for site visits and meetings.
    • Commitment to working two days per week from the Cambridge office.

    As a Client Accountant, you’ll be responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring all service charge and account reconciliations are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with Estate Managers and internal teams to provide vital financial insight, supporting clients and maintaining the integrity of all managed accounts.
     
    What You’ll Be Doing as a Client Accountant
    • Acting as the main financial contact for your portfolio, supporting clients and Estate Managers with queries and reports.
    • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements.
    • Contributing to meetings, AGMs, and financial discussions with clients to provide insight and clarity on accounts.
    • Reviewing opening balances and financial data for newly onboarded properties or developments.
    • Preparing and presenting clear financial summaries, comparing actuals against budgets, and highlighting key variances.
    • Completing bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
    • Handling leaseholder and supplier billing, including service charges, ground rents, utilities, and insurance.
    • Managing annual service charge budgets, ensuring accuracy in cost allocations and expenditure tracking.
    • Monitoring financial performance across estates to ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting.
    • Assisting with VAT returns, rent remittances, and other accounting compliance requirements.
    What We’re Looking For
    • Experience in an accounting or finance role such as a Client Accountant or similar
    • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and analytical ability.
    • Clear communicator with the ability to explain financial data to non-finance professionals.
    • Proficient in Excel and confident using accounting software
    • A proactive problem-solver with excellent time management skills.
    • AAT qualified or currently studying towards a recognised qualification.
    • Team-oriented and motivated, with a genuine interest in property finance.
