    What You’ll Be Doing as a Client Accounting Team Lead
    • Guide a team of accountants, providing mentorship, conducting regular appraisals, and managing staff performance.
    • Oversee team milestones and deadlines to ensure all financial tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Review service charge accounts and budgets to ensure they meet professional standards and internal quality checklists.
    • Handle complex accounting for a portfolio of estates, including year-end adjustments, tax administration, and insurance recharges.
    • Manage monthly bank reconciliations and ensure no estate accounts become overdrawn.
    • Work with senior management to improve accounting systems and boost commercial awareness across the department.
    • Act as the first point of contact for complex leaseholder queries and provide financial data to Property Managers.
    What We’re Looking For
    • At least 5 years of experience in an accounting role is required
    • Strong background in preparing year-end accounts as well as experience with service charges, is essential, particularly within high end residential
    • Qube software knowledge would be a bonus! 
    • Ability to build strong relationships across the company and encourage a proactive, solution-focused team culture.
    • High-level analytical skills and the ability to manage complex financial data.
    • Ideally part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, those qualified by experience will also be considered.

    • A relevant industry qualification (e.g., IRPM or RICS) is highly preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing professionally with residents and clients.
    • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly across the Oxford, Norwich, and Cambridge patch for site visits and meetings.
    • Commitment to working two days per week from the Cambridge office.
