If you are passionate about guiding rural and urban development projects from concept to completion, this role is for you.
We are searching for a Planning Consultant with hands-on experience in rural business growth, agricultural development, and residential planning. This role offers the chance to collaborate with senior team members and clients on projects that include:
- Commercial and Mixed-Use Developments: Retail, leisure, and tourism projects.
- Agricultural and Rural Projects: Infrastructure, equestrian facilities, and access planning.
- Residential Planning: New builds, redevelopments, conversions, and statutory approvals.
- Heritage and Conservation Projects: Focus on listed buildings and protected areas.
Key Responsibilities of the Planning Consultant:
- Lead rural and urban projects across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
- Manage planning applications, project development, and client meetings with strategic and practical advice.
- Demonstrate expertise in planning regulations, environmental guidelines, and regional planning policies.
- Build strong client relationships and consistently deliver top-tier service.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support company growth.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed as a Planning Consultant, you should have:
✅ MRTPI or MRICS (P&D) qualification
✅ At least 2 years’ experience in planning within the public or private sector
✅ Deep understanding of planning legislation and effective project advice
✅ Confidence in advising on both rural and urban developments
✅ A proactive mindset with clear communication and problem-solving skills
✅ A full, clean UK driving licence
✅ MRTPI or MRICS (P&D) qualification
