We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an Associate Surveyor to join a well-established property and infrastructure consultancy. This role will see you working on significant national projects across transport, energy, and development, providing specialist property advice and strategic solutions.

As an Associate Surveyor, you will play a key part in shaping infrastructure delivery by supporting clients with valuation, acquisitions, compensation, and negotiation strategies. This is a progressive role offering the scope to lead, influence, and mentor within a supportive environment that values innovation, collaboration, and career growth.
 
What You’ll Be Doing as an Associate Surveyor
  • Playing a central role in the delivery of complex infrastructure schemes for both public and private sector clients.
  • Producing clear, accurate valuation reports in line with RICS standards and client requirements.
  • Handling land and property negotiations, including leases, acquisitions, disposals, and professional agreements.
  • Advising on compensation matters, compulsory purchase processes, and disturbance claims.
  • Carrying out development assessments, feasibility reviews, and strategic property appraisals.
  • Securing rights of access, obtaining consents, and resolving land-related challenges with third parties.
  • Identifying fresh opportunities for business development and contributing to growth within the region.
  • Acting as a trusted property advisor by guiding clients through key decisions and minimising risks.
  • Supporting compliance with legal obligations and ensuring best practice is followed in all project work.
  • Leading by example in mentoring colleagues, coaching junior surveyors, and encouraging professional growth.
  • Driving improvements in working practices and processes to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Building long-lasting partnerships with clients, landowners, and stakeholders through excellent service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
  • Chartered Surveyor (RICS) qualification with substantial post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, property, or general practice surveying.
  • Knowledge of compulsory purchase processes desirable (training can be provided).
  • Proven track record in business development and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, landowners, and agents.
  • A proactive, ambitious approach to career development, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence essential due to travel requirements.
