We are pleased to be recruiting for an Associate / Associate Partner to join a leading property and infrastructure consultancy in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified surveyor with strong experience in infrastructure or general practice who is looking to take on greater responsibility in both project delivery and team leadership.
 
As an Associate / Associate Partner, you will be central to advising clients on nationally significant infrastructure projects across transport, energy, and development. This position combines technical expertise with business development and client management, offering genuine scope to progress within a supportive and ambitious team.
 
What You’ll Be Doing as an Associate / Associate Partner
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of large-scale infrastructure schemes across multiple sectors.
  • Producing high-quality valuation reports and professional advice in line with professional guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Handling complex negotiations, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and land agreements.
  • Advising clients on compulsory purchase, disturbance claims, and statutory access arrangements.
  • Undertaking feasibility reviews and development appraisals to guide investment decisions.
  • Developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
  • Leading due diligence, overseeing transactions, and coordinating project work where required.
  • Supporting and mentoring surveyors and junior colleagues to promote professional growth.
  • Enhancing internal processes and policies to ensure best practice and efficiency.
  • Acting as a senior representative of the business, engaging confidently with landowners, agents, and stakeholders.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • Chartered Surveyor (RICS) and ideally an RICS Registered Valuer.
  • Experience within infrastructure, general practice, or rural surveying (covering rural, commercial, and residential assets is advantageous).
  • Knowledge of compulsory purchase processes desirable, though full training is available.
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a collaborative and approachable style.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence essential due to travel requirements.
