We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive professional to join a growing team within a prominent, people-first international insurance group. This Account Handler role is essential for supporting a high-performing broking department, ensuring technical accuracy and seamless service delivery across diverse commercial markets.
 
What You’ll Be Doing as an Account Handler
  • Generating high-quality, compliant market documentation, including slips and endorsements, while ensuring all necessary internal and external authorisations are secured.
  • Reviewing client presentations for accuracy and completeness to ensure the quoting and placement process is fully supported from start to finish.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with various insurance markets, underwriters, and internal processing technicians.
  • Taking responsibility for precise data entry, credit control, and the proactive chasing of subjectivities on core company systems.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of renewal cycles and new business activity to aid the team in effective planning and resourcing.
  • Participating in team meetings and managing assigned projects to drive the Account Handler function and service standards forward.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • A solid understanding of the UK and International insurance landscape and its operational frameworks.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of an open, collaborative, and fast-paced team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills paired with a high level of attention to detail and a “right first time” mentality.
  • The ability to provide a high level of support to the broking team while engaging professionally with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in core software, specifically featuring advanced Excel skills and strong literacy in Outlook and Word.
  • A determination to make a positive difference and a willingness to embrace new digital approaches within the Account Handler role.
